My name is James Hutchinson and I am majoring in Applied Exercise Science. I chose UNE because of my love for helping others as well as my love for soccer. I have played soccer for the majority of my life and it has given me opportunities to travel to some incredible places and meet some incredible people. We have traveled throughout New England, Florida, Maryland, and Indiana. I lucked out with each and every coach that I’ve had. Each one formed a close relationship with me and truly cared about my interests. I even wrote my common app essay on how important my coach was to me and how his diagnosis of cancer changed me as a person. Over the years I have sustained my fair share of injuries ranging from a plethora of ankle sprains to concussions. I would not be where I am today without the help of my physical therapist. It was through this helpful connection that I realized this was the career path I wanted to pursue. The soccer field is the one place I can go to escape from any stress that I’m dealing with.
